Frequently Asked Questions
A few common questions about how sessions work, what to expect, and how to get the most out of this process. If you’re unsure where to start, I’m also happy to offer a brief free phone consultation to help you choose the right fit.
Do we both have to attend the couples sessions?
No. It’s ideal when both partners are present, but it’s not required. Because we’re working with the mechanics of both charts, it’s possible to give you a clear picture of the dynamic even if only one person is on the call. Many clients begin alone and share the recording with their partner afterward.
What if we’ve never done Human Design before?
That’s completely fine. The Couples Foundation Package is designed for newcomers: we start with your individual charts, then move into how your designs interact. I’ll translate the mechanics into plain language and keep the focus on your lived experience, not on jargon.
Is this a replacement for therapy?
No. Human Design is a mechanical and energetic framework that can offer clarity and practical strategies, but it is not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment. If you’re dealing with trauma, abuse, or mental health concerns, please work with a licensed professional alongside this work.
What if we’re on the edge of breaking up?
Human Design won’t tell you whether to stay or go. What it can do is show you the underlying mechanics of your dynamic so you can make that decision from clarity instead of confusion. Some couples use this work to rebuild; others use it to separate more consciously and gently.
Can you work with non-traditional or queer relationships?
Yes. The mechanics are neutral. I work with couples and constellations of many kinds, including queer, poly, and non-traditional structures. The focus is always on consent, clarity, and what’s correct for each person’s design.
How should we prepare for our session?
Make sure you’re in a relatively quiet, private space where you can speak freely. It can help to jot down a few recurring patterns or questions before we meet. And if you can, avoid scheduling something emotionally heavy immediately after the session — the material often continues to land for a while.
Do you offer recordings and written notes?
Yes. All sessions are recorded and shared with you afterward. You’ll also receive written highlights and, for foundation readings, a full report that includes your chart breakdown and line activation descriptions.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations or reschedules made at least 24 hours in advance can be moved to a new time without penalty. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are considered used, as the time has been held specifically for you.
Can we book a one-off follow-up instead of a 3‑month package?
Yes, for previous clients I occasionally open single follow-up sessions depending on availability. If you’re interested, mention this in your booking form and I’ll let you know what’s currently possible.
What information do you need to generate my chart?
I’ll ask for your full name, date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. For partnership work, I’ll need these details for both partners. You’ll enter this information during scheduling, so there’s no need to send it separately.
What if I don’t know my exact birth time?
If you don’t know your exact birth time, enter your best estimate or a rough window (for example, “sometime between 8–10 AM”) when you schedule. In our session I’ll explain which parts of your design are time-sensitive and how much certainty we can have. We can still do meaningful work with approximate data, and if it looks important, I can point you toward options for rectification work later.
